With your personalized treatment plan, Greg will utilize the tools provided in Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT) to help you understand past patterns so you can address mood changes earlier. Completing the Social Rhythm Metric questionnaire weekly, you will develop a more consistent and balanced lifestyle.

What type of therapy is offered?
Greg Rennie is formally trained in Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT) that was developed specifically for bipolar disorder by Dr. Holly Swartz and Dr. Ellen Frank, Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. This therapy focuses on the unique circadian systems of those with bipolar disorder and with monitoring (Social Rhythm Metric), will improve daily functioning and stabilization of mood episodes.
Is it covered by insurance?
Yes. As a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), Greg Rennie provides a receipt after each appointment to submit for insurance reimbursement.
Does Greg Rennie diagnose bipolar disorder?
No. Only a psychiatrist can formally diagnose bipolar. Greg uses an evidence-based screening tool to assess the likelihood of bipolar and can provide results and scoring that would be helpful for you and your medical team.
I’m a family member, can he help us?
Yes. Greg has 40 years lived experience as his two older sisters have bipolar disorder. Greg understands the needs of the family member and the difficulty they experience in navigating the mental health system. He can help you understand bipolar disorder and how you can help your family member at the same time, setting boundaries.
